When I first heard the term “biohacker,” I didn’t immediately connect with it. It sounded like something reserved for tech geeks and Silicon Valley innovators. But after some reflection, I realized: I am a biohacker since many years!!!
Being a biohacker is not just about fancy gadgets or high-tech experiments. It’s about taking control of your own body and mind—optimizing your health and energy through natural and intentional practices. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing, long before I even knew there was a name for it. My Grandma and my mother both raised us with home made medication and methods. I was already interested in a conscious lifestyle without being conscious.
1. Self-Awareness: The First Step to Becoming a Biohacker
The journey to becoming a biohacker begins with self-awareness. Over the years, I’ve learned to listen to my body, understand its signals, and experiment with different methods to enhance my health. Whether it’s testing new foods, exploring different forms of exercise and home made remedies like green clay, Flexbeam, Interx, or experimenting with frequencies, I’m always looking for ways to optimize my life.
I’ve also embraced the idea that we are all our own best experts. We each have unique needs, and we can tailor our wellness strategies to what works for us—whether it’s through nutrition, movement, or even mindset. I wrote already in 2016 about it in my book Pure Smart Stylish, a conscious lifestyle.
2. My Biohacking Toolbox: Knowing who you are, so acceptance, Nutrition, Movement, and Rest.
🥑 Nutrition:
I don’t just eat for energy; I eat for vitality. By avoiding , and inflammatory foods, I’ve learned which foods give me the best energy boost. I also use supplements and oils like Numi Oil for skin regeneration. A carefully chosen diet isn’t just about looking good on the outside; it also impacts how my cells age—and how I feel.
💃 Movement:
Staying active is key. I do ski and ski mountaineering (skimo), as it provides both mental clarity and physical strength. I’ve also incorporated things like stretching, pilates, swimming, walking, and light cardio to keep my energy high and my body in balance. Movement keeps me feeling young and helps me optimize my cellular health.
💤 Rest:
Rest is just as important as activity. I prioritize quality sleep and make sure my environment is optimized for relaxation. Rest allows my body to regenerate and keep my energy levels in check.
3. Using Frequencies for Mental and Physical Health
One of the most fascinating aspects of biohacking is understanding how frequencies influence our bodies. I’ve explored using sound frequencies and music to enhance my well-being. Listening to frequencies like 432Hz or 528Hz and of course dancing and listening to my own music with all its hz in it, has an incredible effect on my mood and energy.
I also use biofeedback devices like the FlexBeam to promote healing and rejuvenation. These types of tools are perfect for someone who wants to stay youthful, energized, and balanced.
4. Being a Biohacker is About Personal Empowerment
Biohacking isn’t about extreme measures or trying to manipulate my body unnaturally. It’s about empowering myself to make decisions that improve my well-being and longevity. I choose methods that align with my values, from food choices to fitness practices, and even the technologies I use.
What I love most about being a biohacker is that I’m not relying on outside sources to “fix” me. Instead, I take an active role in my own health journey.
5. How I Feel Like I’m 40 (Even Though I’m 60)
Thanks to biohacking, my conscious lifestyle since years, I don’t just look younger—I feel younger. The combination of healthy habits, stress management, proper nutrition, and physical activity has helped me maintain a vibrant and youthful energy.
Age is just a number. Thanks to a conscious lifestyle, or biohacking, I’m able to harness the power of my mind, body, and spirit to keep me feeling my best. I don’t need to rely on external treatments or invasive procedures—I have everything I need to optimize my health naturally.
In Conclusion: I Am a Biohacker, and So Are You!
Biohacking is about empowering yourself to take control of your health and wellness. Whether you’re tweaking your diet, incorporating new technology, or exploring new movement practices, there’s a biohacker inside all of us—ready to make choices that allow us to live our best lives.
If you’re ready to become your own biohacker, start small: Focus on things that make you feel good, experiment with new methods, and embrace the journey of optimization. Together, we can redefine what it means to age gracefully, while staying youthful and energized.
